Yeah, you read that right. Charity!
We at BeetleMilk are very interested in philanthropy, and it’s about time to put our money where our mouth is.
One of our most awesome fans is a woman named Rose (@rose_work_ahead on Instagram!). Rose is trans, and a wonderful human. She mods on our Discord, supports our live initiatives, and agreed to make this design for me.
Besides commissioning Rose and putting her work out there, I also had the idea that this shirt would be for charity, one that supports the LGBTQ+ community.
Im proud to present the result of this.
The charity I selected is “The Trevor Project”, who provide suicide prevention assistance and other services to LGBT+ teens and young adults. From their official website:
ABOUT THE TREVOR PROJECT
Founded in 1998 by the creators of the Academy Award®-winning short film TREVOR, The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25.
Find more info about The Trevor Project at www.thetrevorproject.org
When you buy this shirt, the money will go to three places:
1. The production of the shirt (1/3)
2. The artist, Rose (1/3)
3. The Trevor Project (1/3). We will run this shirt for a quarter (3 months), and after that submit the money earned for the charity along with a sizable donation from BeetleMilk. The documentation of this will be available on the website, as well as how much was earned for TTP. BeetleMilk will take no profit.
We hope you’ll join us in supporting a new trans artist and a great charity!
